Abstract
275,404. Nyrop, A. July 21, 1926. Spray evaporators.-In drying milk, mud, &c. the liquid is sprayed through an atomizer 3, which may be of the kind described in Specification 237,607. [Class 69 (iii), Spray-producers &c.], into a vessel 1 which receives air through an annular chamber 2 supplied by a radial pipe and discharges it through a central pipe 4 projecting above the bottom of the vessel. The particles of liquid follow a spiral course as indicated in dotted lines. The air may be given a vibratory mction by an intermittently-acting valve or the like in the supply pipe or in the outlet pipe 4.
