Apparatus for spreading liquids.-A centrifugal apparatus for atomizing liquids, which first converts a liquid stream into a whirling liquid sheet, consists of a drum 6 with inturned lips 9, 10. The drum 6 and hub 8 are connected bv a downwardly inclined web 7 having a number of holes 15. Liquid is supplied by the pipe 13 to the channel 14 formed between the hub and the web; it is thrown outwards as the drum rotates and some passes through the holes 15 until it forms a sheet of liquid on the inside of the drum. Eventually it flows over the lips 9, 10 and is thrown off in the form of spray.
