Abstract

192,520. Laycock, S. Nov. 12, 1921. Valves, reversing and like.-For cooling the reversing-valve I of a gas-fired furnace, cooling- boxes H of uniform section and separate and distinct from the valve casing, are mounted on flue walls G to form seatings for the valve. Air from the atmosphere is led through flues K to the cooling-boxes and discharges therefrom into the chimney flue N. Gas from a producer passes to a box A through a cylinder B provided with ribs J and thence through the valve I to the flue D. A reversing-valve for admitting air for combustion of the gas is also provided.
