185,623. Innocent, J. A. Aug. 27, 1921. Liquid and gaseous fuel furnaces; regenerators.-The heating-space A of a metal-heating furnace is separated from a chamber J at the front of the furnace by projections F, L from the roof and floor. The gas or oil and air are supplied to the burners E in the projection F through pipes K in the chamber J, which serves as a flue for the products of combustion. The space between the projections F, L constitutes one or more charging-openings, corresponding openings being provided in the front-plate H. The fuel and air supply-pipes may be in the form of passages in refractory material.
