Introduction: Appendectomy is the most common surgical emergency and negative appendectomy is a one of recognized consequence of appendectomy. Recently an increased use of radiology is seen in diagnosing appendicitis and it has significantly decreased the rate of negative appendectomy. Every effort should be made to establish an exact diagnosis. If, however, this is impossible and a suspicion of appendicitis exists, exploration is mandatory. It is far better to subject a moderate number of patients to a theoretically unnecessary operation than to let one patient suffer perforation. Aim: Recently we have seen an increased use of radiology in our department for diagnosing appendicitis. The idea of conducting this audit was to calculate our negative appendectomy rate by correlating it with use of radiology and to compare it with international figures and to set up guidelines for use of radiology in diagnosing appendicitis on basis of results of our audit. Methods: Records of all patien...

Results: Result shown that the total body weight of Cobb-500 and Ross-308 on 1 week was 207.40±14 gram and 196.00±16 gram respectively and these result represented significant difference of weight gain (P<0.05) on 1 week of experiment among both the strains. From 2 week of experiment till the last week (5 week) the results shown the total body weight of Cob-500 and Ross-308 as 2180.4±38 gram and 2103.7±36 gram respectively which was non-significantly different (P>0.05) among the strains. Furthermore, significant difference of feed conversion ratio (FCR) was observed (P<0.05) among both the strains but from day 7 till the market age weekly FCR of Cob-500 was significantly higher (P<0.05) than Ross-308. Comparatively high mortality (4.8±0.4%) was noticed in Ross broiler strain than Cobb broiler strain (3.7±0.4%).

Urinary bladder injury is a rare complication of laparoscopic abdominal surgery. The incidence is low and usually goes unidentified with confusing presentation. We report a case of such injury during laparoscopic appendectomy that was identified on 3rd post-operative day and a small 1 cm tear was found at posterior wall of bladder which and was repaired. There was also a collection anterior to bladder which was drained separately under radiological guidance later as on table cystogram did not show any leak anterior to bladder. Patient also had covid pneumonia during stay and patients stay and recovery was prolonged. Attention must be paid to port insertion under vision especially low insertion of supra pubic port should be avoided with pre op catheterization and key to diagnosis of injury is awareness of this rare entity. The present cross sectional study was conducted on 350 Achai cattle (81male, 269 female) from January, 2013 to May, 2013 at Livestock Research and Development Station Surezai, Peshawar, Peshawar Main Abattoir and 10 butcher shops in different regions (Swat, Malakand, Dir, Bajaur and Shangla) of the whole province to document the prevalence of rumen and reticulum foreign bodies and associated risk factors for the occurrence of foreign bodies in Achai Cattle which is known as local breed of the region, because many animals that have swallowed foreign bodies are asymptomatic, veterinarian must maintain a high index of suspicion in conducting post mortem examination. The study animals were selected by using stratified random sampling method from the study population. From the total of 350 animals examined, 207 (59.14%) were found positive for the occurrence of indigestible foreign bodies in rumen and reticulum. From each 81 male examined 30 (37.03%) and 269 female examined 177 (65.8%) w...
