To (LZZ u'fmnb M may (on/eerie Be it known that I, \Vm'rmmr L. .TAoons, of East Orange, New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification,reference being had to the accompanying photograph,which forms a port of the some.
The invention relates to :1 design to he work ed into or upon surfaces such [\S carpets or similar fabrics; and it consisis in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The ground a is irregularly filled in with Term of potnli In. yearsv small geometric work, as shown. Over this ground are several large flower-groups.
Ahos :1 central mass of open midstnr-shaped flowers and leaves and projecting blossom and fern sprays. B has a central muss of large leaves and storshapcd flowers surrounded by projecting leaf and blossom sprays on all sides. Several other groups complete the design.
