Be it known that I, Or'ro HEINIGKE, oi'Ncw Utrecht, New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the fol- 5 lowing is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or simi- 10 lar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet showing my new design.

The ground consists of large skeleton leaves I 5 with intervening smaller bud forms, all connected on stenrwork. On this ground, and distinct from it, are disposed unconnected groups of small star-shaped flowers and small leaves with projecting twigs and blossom- 2o sprays, as is clearly shown in the photograph.

The design for a carpet, substantially as shown and described.
