DESIGN FOR HANDLES FOR TABLE-GASTERS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 11,506, (lated November 11, 15379; application liled October 18, 1879. [Term of patent 3% years] To all whom it may concern.'
Be it known that. I, ALBERT HART, oi' Ilartford, in the county ot' Hartford and State of Connecticut, have originated and invented a new and useful Design for a Handle forTahle- Casters; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being` had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part ot' this specilication.
The base or lower end oi" the handle, where it ts upon the caster, is usually formed with an elliptical bulge or ring, u, whence the stein b of the handle extends upward in straight but converging lilies to asimilar ring orbnlge, c, and from the upper side ot' this extends npwardly the somewhat triangular loop d, which forms the handle proper. The sides or surface of this loop may be ornainented, and may be made loZenge-shapedin cross-section ,or iu any desired form, and it may at the point, e, of its greatest width, have any suitable ornamentation to gire a pleasing and attractive eilect. The upper part, d', of the loop is rounded or arched, and its surface may be ornamented. Centrally on the top of the arch, and in line with the stein ofthe handle, is placed the crown or crown ornament l1. Near the base of the loop, inside, and just above the point where it springs from the top ot' the stem, is the ornamentation i, formed ot' leaves and fruit, or by any other suitable design.
I claimi The tahlecaster handle above described, consisting of a stem having a loop-handle surinonnted by a crown, suhstantialbr as set forth.
