To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT Rosnnsrnm, of Lancaster, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Designs for Cane, Umbrella, or Parasol Handles; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms part of this specification.
My invention relates to an improvement in designs for cane, umbrella, or parasol handles; and it consists in the ornamentation and novel configuration of parts, whereby a very pleasing and beautiful effect is produced, as will be more fully described hereinafter.
The accompanying photographic illustration represents my invention.
A represents the main portion of the handle, which is given an L shape, and has its surface curved or flattened or given any ornamental appearance that may be desired. Upon one side of the vertical portion of the handle is formed a step or shoulder B, and standing upon this step or shoulder is the figure of a boy C,the upper portion of whose body is inclined outwardly over the inner end of the horizontal portion of the handle. One of the arms of the boy is stretched out upon the top of the handle, while the other arm is bent backward toward the head.
The handle, having the ornament-a1 shape and configuration here shown, imparts a very pleasing effect, and adds greatly to the attractiveness of the article to which the handle is applied.
Having thus described my invention, I claim- The design for a cane, parasol, or umbrella handle, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof Iailix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
