'ATTORNEYS f v UNITED STATES PATENT ()FFICE.
MORITZ' FELDMANN, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A CLASP FOR HOSE-SUPPORTERS.
srncmcnrxon forming part of Design No. 19,857, dated May 27, 1890.
Application filed March 1, 1890. Serial No. 342,302. Term of'patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Momrz FELDMANN, of the city, county, and State of New York, a citizen of the Empire of Austria-Hungary, have invented a new and original Design for Hose-Supporting Clasps, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a design for a clasp for hose or stocking supporters, whereby these clasps are made ornamental and attractive in appearance; and the invention consists of a design for a hose-supporting clasp in which the curved sides of the clasp are' scalloped at the outer and inner edges while the top cross-bar is made plain.
The nature of my design is fully shownin the accompanying drawing, to which reference is made.
A in the drawing represents a clasp for hose or stocking supporters of that class in which two curved sides a terminate in a centrally-slitted lower part b and are connected at their upper ends by a transverse top bar d. The inner and outer edges of the curved sides a are scalloped, the scallops at the outer edges extending to the lower end of the clasp A, while the scallops at the inner edges terminate at the point where the slit d of the lower part b commences. The top bar 19 is not scalloped, but remains plain, as the elastic supporting-strap of the clasp is to be applied thereto.
Having thus described my design, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for a clasp for hose-supporters, consisting of the curved sides a, the centrallyslitted lower part b, the top bar d, and seallops on the outer and inner edges of the curved sides ,a, the scallops on the outer edges extending to the lower end of the clasp and the scallops on the inner edges terminating at the beginning of the slit, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have signed my name in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
MORITZ FELDMANN.
