Claims (5)
- 플라즈마 디스플레이 장치에 있어서,한 쌍의 대향 기판(base plate) 및 상기 한 쌍의 대향 기판간에 형성된 복수의 방전 셀을 구비한 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널 - 각각의 상기 복수의 방전 셀은 상기 한 쌍의 대향 기판 중 하나의 기판 상에 배치된 한 쌍의 유지 방전 전극 및 상기 한 쌍의 대향 기판 중 다른 기판 상에 배치된 기록(addressing) 전극을 가짐 -, 및상기 복수의 방전 셀을 구동하는 구동 회로를 포함하며,상기 구동 회로는, 상기 한 쌍의 유지 방전 전극 중 적어도 하나의 유지 방전 전극이 상기 복수의 방전 셀 중 대응하는 방전 셀의 발광 주기 내에 펄스 구동 전압을 인가받고, 상기 복수의 방전 셀 중 적어도 하나의 방전 셀의 기록 전극이 상기 발광 주기 내에 구동 전압을 인가받도록 구성되며,상기 구동 전압은, 상기 펄스 구동 전압의 제1 전압 레벨로부터 제2 전압 레벨로의 변동과 동기하여 전압 레벨 Va로 변동하고, 상기 펄스 구동 전압이 상기 제2 전압 레벨로부터 상기 제1 전압 레벨로 변동하기 전에 전압 레벨 Vb로 변동하는 일 부분을 포함하고,상기 전압 레벨 Vb의 절대값은 상기 전압 레벨 Va의 절대값의 절반 이하인플라즈마 디스플레이 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 펄스 구동 전압의 상기 제1 전압 레벨의 주기 내에 상기 복수의 방전 셀 중 상기 적어도 하나의 방전 셀에서 방전이 발생하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 장치.
- 플라즈마 디스플레이 장치에 있어서,한 쌍의 대향 기판 및 상기 한 쌍의 대향 기판간에 형성된 복수의 방전 셀을 구비한 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널 - 각각의 상기 복수의 방전 셀은 상기 한 쌍의 대향 기판 중 하나의 기판 상에 배치된 한 쌍의 유지 방전 전극 및 상기 한 쌍의 대향 기판 중 다른 기판 상에 배치된 기록 전극을 가짐 -,상기 기록 전극과 직렬로 접속 가능한 인덕턴스 소자, 및상기 복수의 방전 셀을 구동하는 구동 회로를 포함하며,상기 구동 회로는, 상기 한 쌍의 유지 방전 전극 중 적어도 하나의 유지 방전 전극이 상기 복수의 방전 셀 중 대응하는 방전 셀의 발광 주기 내에 펄스 구동 전압을 인가받도록 구성되는 플라즈마 디스플레이 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 스위칭 회로를 더 포함하며,상기 스위칭 회로는, 상기 발광 주기의 적어도 일 부분 동안 상기 복수의 방전 셀 중 적어도 하나의 방전 셀의 상기 기록 전극을 상기 인덕턴스 소자로 스위칭시키며, 상기 발광 주기 이외의 기간의 적어도 일 부분 동안 상기 기록 전극을 상기 기록 전극을 구동하는 상기 구동 회로의 회로로 스위칭시키는 플라즈마 디스플레이 장치.
- 플라즈마 디스플레이 장치에 있어서,한 쌍의 대향 기판 및 상기 한 쌍의 대향 기판간에 형성된 복수의 방전 셀을 구비한 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널 - 각각의 상기 복수의 방전 셀은 상기 한 쌍의 대향 기판 중 하나의 기판 상에 배치된 한 쌍의 유지 방전 전극 및 상기 한 쌍의 대향 기판 중 다른 기판 상에 배치된 기록 전극을 가짐 -,상기 복수의 방전 셀을 구동하는 구동 회로 - 상기 구동 회로는 상기 한 쌍의 유지 방전 전극 중 적어도 하나의 유지 방전 전극이 상기 복수의 방전 셀 중 대응하는 방전 셀의 발광 주기 내에 펄스 구동 전압을 인가받도록 구성됨 -, 및상기 발광 주기의 적어도 일 부분 동안 상기 펄스 구동 전압과 동기하여 변동하는 전압을 상기 기록 전극에 인가하는 파형 발생기를 포함하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 장치.
