Description
도 2(a) 는 본 발명의 액정 패널이 O 모드를 채용하는 경우의 개략 사시도이고, 도 2(b) 는 본 발명의 액정 패널이 E 모드를 채용하는 경우의 개략 사시도이다.
도 3 은 본 발명의 바람직한 실시형태에 의한 액정 패널의 개략 단면도이다.
도 4 는 본 발명의 바람직한 실시형태에 의한 액정 표시 장치의 개략 단면도이다.

Claims (13)
- 전계가 존재하지 않는 상태에서 호모지니어스 배열로 배향시킨 액정 분자를 함유하는 액정층을 구비하는 액정 셀과,
상기 액정 셀의 일방의 측에 배치된 제 1 편광자와,
상기 액정 셀의 타방의 측에 배치된 제 2 편광자와,
상기 액정 셀과 상기 제 1 편광자 사이에 배치된, nx1 > ny1 > nz1 을 만족하는 제 1 이방성 광학 소자와,
상기 제 1 이방성 광학 소자와 상기 액정 셀 사이에 배치된, nz2 > nx2 > ny2 의 관계를 만족하는 제 2 이방성 광학 소자를 구비하고, 또한
상기 제 1 이방성 광학 소자가 하기 식 1 및 식 2 를 만족하고, 상기 제 2 이방성 광학 소자가 하기 식 3, 식 3' 및 식 4 를 만족하며, 상기 제 1 이방성 광학 소자 및 제 2 이방성 광학 소자가 하기 식 5 를 만족하고,
90 ㎚ < Re1 < 140 ㎚ (식 1)
1.1 < NZ1 < 1.7 (식 2)
15 ㎚ ≤ Re2 ≤ 40 ㎚ (식 3)
