- 전극을 보유하는 한쌍의 기판 사이에 액정층을 중첩시킨 액정 셀 및 원편광판을 구비하는 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치로서,상기 원편광판은 하나 이상의 편광판, 및 550nm의 단색광에 대하여 70nm 내지 180nm의 광학 리타데이션 값(optical retardation)을 갖는 광학 이방 소자를 포함하고,상기 광학 이방 소자는 고분자 연신 필름 및 두께 50 ㎛ 이하의 액정 필름 (A)를 포함하며,상기 액정 필름 (A)는 광학적으로 양(+)의 일축성을 나타내는 액정 물질을 액정 상태일 때 형성된 평균 틸트 각이 5° 내지 35°인 네마틱 하이브리드 배향으로 고정화하여 수득되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 액정 표시장치가 투명 전극을 보유하는 제1 기판과, 반투과 반사성 전극을 보유하는 제2 기판과, 상기 제1 기판과 상기 제2 기판 사이에 액정층을 중첩시킨 액정 셀과, 상기 제1 기판의 액정층과 접하는 면과는 반대의 면 위에 설치한 적어도 1매의 위상차 보상판과 1매의 편광판을 구비한 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치로서, 상기 제2 기판의 액정 층과 접하는 면과는 반대의 면 위에 제6항에 정의된 원편광판을 배치한 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 액정 표시장치가, 투명 전극을 보유하는 제1 기판과, 반투과 반사성 전극을 보유하는 제2 기판과, 상기 제1 기판과 상기 제2 기판 사이에 액정층을 중첩시킨 액정 셀과, 상기 제2 기판의 액정 층과 접하는 면과는 반대의 면 위에 설치된 적어도 1매의 위상차 보상판과 1매의 편광판을 구비한 반투과 반사형의 액정 표시장치로서, 상기 제1 기판의 액정층과 접하는 면과는 반대의 면 위에 제6항에 정의된 원편광판을 배치한 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 액정 표시장치가 투명 전극을 보유하는 제1 기판과, 반투과 반사성 전극을 보유하는 제2 기판과, 상기 제1 기판과 상기 제2 기판 사이에 액정층이 중첩된 액정 셀을 구비한 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치로서, 이 액정 셀의 양측에 제6항에 정의된 원편광판을 배치한 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 액정 필름 (A)가 광학적으로 양(+)의 일축성을 나타내는 액정 물질을 액정 상태에서 네마틱 하이브리드 배향으로 배열시키고, 유리화 상태에서 배열된 액정 물질을 냉각하여 고정화함으로써 수득한 액정 필름인 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 액정 필름 (A)가 광학적으로 양(+)의 일축성을 나타내는 액정 물질을 액정 상태에서 네마틱 하이브리드 배향으로 배열시키고, 배열된 액정 물질을 가교반응에 의해 고정화함으로써 수득한 액정 필름인 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 제6항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 액정층이 ECB 모드인 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 제6항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 액정층이 HAN 모드인 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과 반사형 액정 표시장치.
