Claims (27)
- 관 단부용 관 이음쇠로서,상기 이음쇠를 관 단부에 조립하기 위하여 함께 나사 결합되는 암나사식 커플링 부재 및 수나사식 커플링 부재를 포함하고,상기 암나사식 커플링 부재에는 관 파지 기구가 부착되어 있고,상기 관 파지 기구는 상기 이음쇠를 풀업(pull-up) 상태로 조립하는 동안 상기 암나사식 커플링 부재로부터 분리되는 것인 관 이음쇠.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 관 파지 기구는 상기 암나사식 커플링 부재로부터 분리된 후에는 단일의 페룰(ferrule)로서 기능하는 것인 관 이음쇠.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 수나사식 커플링 부재는 각이진 캐밍 표면(angled camming surface)을 구비하고, 이 캐밍 표면은 풀업중에 상기 관 파지 기구의 전방 단부에 맞물려 관 파지 기구가 상기 암나사식 커플링 부재로부터 분리되게 하는 것인 관 이음쇠.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 관 파지 기구는 얇은 웹에 의하여 상기 암나사식 커플링 부재에 부착되는 것인 관 이음쇠.

- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 관 파지 기구는 상기 암나사식 커플링 부재와 일체로 기계 가공되는 것인 관 이음쇠.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 수나사식 커플링 부재는 각이진 캐밍 표면을 구비하고, 이 캐밍 표면은 풀업중에 상기 관 파지 기구의 전방 단부와 접촉하며, 상기 캐밍 표면은 관 이음쇠의 종방향 축선에 대하여 35도 내지 60도의 사이각을 형성하는 것인 관 이음쇠.

- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 관 파지 기구는, 관 이음쇠를 추가적으로 풀업하는 동안에 상기 암나사식 커플링 부재와 간섭하지 않는 표면을 따라 상기 암나사식 커플링 부재로부터 분리되는 것인 관 이음쇠.
- 제1항에 있어서, 분리된 관 파지 기구가 관 이음쇠의 최종 풀업중에 단일의 페룰로서 기능하며, 상기 페룰은 상기 관 단부의 외면 안으로 물려 들어가는(bite) 전방 단부를 구비하는 것인 관 이음쇠.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 분리된 페룰은 페룰의 중앙이 상기 관 단부에 대하여 반경 방향으로 압축되도록 최종 풀업중에 반경 방향에 있어서 내측으로 힌지 작용(hinging)을 행하여 상기 전방 단부의 관에 대한 물림부로부터 축방향으로 간격을 두고 있는 지점에서 상기 관 단부를 콜릿(collet)하는 것인 관 이음쇠.

- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 캐밍 표면은 관 이음쇠의 종방향 축선에 대하여 35도 내지 60도의 캐밍각을 형성하고, 상기 관 파지 기구는 상기 캐밍 표면에 대해 1차 밀봉부를 형성하는 것인 관 이음쇠.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 관 파지 기구의 적어도 일부는 상기 관 단부의 재료보다 3.3배 이상의 경도를 갖는 것인 관 이음쇠.
