Abstract
【解決手段】 部分的に引き締められると、フェルールが雄ネジ部材(54)のカム面(88)と組み合い、そして雌ネジ部材(52)から破断し又は分離して分離片となり、このため、継手は単一のフェルール管継手として機能する。更なる特徴は、カム面(88)上の急なカム角度を有し、食込み形式の作用によりフェルール(80)に管の端部をつかませ、カム面(88)と分離されたフェルールの前端部との間の第1のシールを形成する。フェルールの前端部、及び選択的に、最初の一体の管グリップ装置(80)を含んだ雌ネジ部材(52)全体が、管端部の材料より少なくも約3.3倍硬くなるように硬化される。

Description
歴史的には、単フェルール継手は適当な管グリップを達成するために浅いカム運動角度を使用してきたために、最適には及ばないシール機能がその継手の適用時に認識された制約として認容されるか、または、もっとも著しい試みは単フェルールを含む1種もしくは複数のエラストマーシールまたは、単フェルールがそれと協力して、ステンレス鋼管材料とともにより良いシールを提供するものを含む追加の特徴物を単フェルール継手中に設計してきた。例えば、特許文献1および特許文献2を参照されたい。特許文献1は付け加えられたエラストマーシールにより「シール」の問題を解決することを試みる単「フェルール」(当該特許中では「切断リング」と呼ばれる)継手の典型的な1例を表わす(特許文献1参照。)特許文献2は管のグリップおよびシール機能を2種の別個の構成部品に分離することにより得られた利点につき記載している(特許文献2参照。)
管材料に使用される市販の、著しく成功した2個フェルール継手はSwagelok Company,Solon,Ohioから市販され、特許文献3および特許文献4に記載され、それら双方とも本発明の受託者により共同所有され、それらの全体の開示が引用により本明細書中に完全に取り込まれている(特許文献3および特許文献4参照。)この2個フェルール継手においては、管のグリップおよびシール機能もまた、2個フェルールの使用により別個に達成される。前方もしくは正面のフェルールはガスに対してすら優れたシールを提供し、背部もしくは後部フェルールは優れた管グリップを提供する。
Claims (16)
- カーバイドが実質的に析出していない浸炭化された表面を少なくとも1個有し、該浸炭化された表面上に金属酸化物層を、金属酸化物層上に固体の潤滑剤を更に含んでなるステンレス鋼部品。
- 金属酸化物層が、実質的にカーバイドが析出していない浸炭化された表面を生成するのに使用された浸炭化反応の副生成物である請求項1のステンレス鋼部品。
- 固体の潤滑剤がグラフアイト、二硫化モリブデン、ニ硫化タングステン、超高分子量ポリエチレン、又はこれらの混合物である請求項1のステンレス鋼部品。
- 固体の潤滑剤の形状が微粒子状であり、粘結剤を含んでいる請求項1のステンレス鋼部品。
- 浸炭化された表面が軸受表面である請求項1のステンレス鋼部品。
- 該部品がナットである請求項5のステンレス鋼部品。
- 該ステンレス鋼が実質的に、又は部分的にオーステナイトである請求項1のステンレス鋼部品。
- 該ステンレス鋼がAISI316,316L,304もしくは304Lステンレス鋼、又はこれらの任意の組み合わせである請求項7のステンレス鋼部品。
- 低温浸炭化により製造され、実質的にカーバイドが析出していないステンレス鋼部品の浸炭化表面の滑り性を強化する方法であって、浸炭化の副生物として生成した金属酸化物層を固体の潤滑剤で被覆することを含んでなる方法。
- 金属酸化物層上のスス層が又浸炭化の副生物としても生成し、固体の潤滑剤の塗布の前に、金属酸化物層を実質的に除去することなくスス層を除去することを更に含む請求項9の方法。
- 該ステンレス鋼が実質的に又は部分的にオーステナイトである請求項9のステンレス鋼部品。
- 該ステンレス鋼がAISI316,316L,304もしくは304Lステンレス鋼、又はこれらの任意の組み合わせである請求項9の方法。
- 固体の潤滑剤がフラフアイト、二硫化モリブデン、ニ硫化タングステン、超高分子量ポリエチレン、又はこれらの混合物である請求項9の方法。
- 固体の潤滑剤の形状が微粒子状であり、粘結剤を含んでいる請求項9の方法。
- 浸炭化された表面が軸受表面である請求項9の方法。
- カーバイドが実質的に析出していない浸炭化された表面を少なくとも1個有し、粘着性で非コーヒーレントな金属酸化物層を浸炭化された表面の上に、そして固体の潤滑剤を金属酸化物層の上に更に含んでなるステンレス鋼部品。
