Claims (8)
- 편광판 및 광학이방소자로 구성되는 원형 편광판에 있어서,상기 광학이방소자가 트위스트 네마틱 배향구조를 고정화한 액정필름을 포함하며, 파장 550nm의 광에 대한 상기 액정필름의 복굴절(△n)과 두께(d)(nm)의 합 및 비틀림각의 조합이 (1)155nm 이상 175nm 이하, 40°이상 50°이하, (2)176nm 이상 216nm 이하, 58°이상 70°이하, (3)230nm 이상 270nm 이하, 70°이상 80°이하의 어느쪽 조건을 만족하도록 설정되는 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 원형 편광판.

- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 액정필름이, 액정재료를 액정상태에서 트위스트 네마틱 배향시키고, 그 상태로부터 냉각하므로써 상기 배향을 유리고정화한 액정필름인 것을 특징으로 하는 원형 편광판.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 액정필름이, 액정재료를 액정상태에서 트위스트 네마틱 배향시키고, 또는 열에 의한 가교반응에 의해 상기 배향을 유리고정화한 액정필름인 것을 특징으로 하는 원형 편광판.
- 제1항에 있어서, 적어도 편광판과 광학이방소자를 적층한 원형편광판에 있어서, 상기 원형 편광판의 두께가 300㎛ 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 원형 편광판.
- 제1항에 기재된 원형 편광판을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 전극을 구비한 한쌍의 투명기판으로 액정층을 협지한 액정셀과, 상기 액정셀의 관찰자측에 배치된 편광판과, 상기 편광판과 액정셀 사이에 배치되는 적어도 1매의 위상차 보상판과, 관찰자측에서 보아 상기 액정층 보다 후방에 설치된 반투과 반사층을 적어도 구비하는 반투과 반사형 액정표시장치에 있어서,관찰자측에서 보아 상기 반투과 반사층 보다 후방에, 상기 제1항에 기재된 원형 편광판을 갖는 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
