Claims (12)
- 제 1 및 제 2 기판 사이에 유전율 이방성이 부의 액정층을 사이에 유지하여 이루어지고, 하나의 도트 영역 내에 투과 표시를 행하는 투과 표시 영역과 반사 표시를 행하는 반사 표시 영역이 마련된 수직 배향형 액정 표시 장치로서,상기 제 1 기판 및 상기 제 2 기판의 상기 액정층 쪽에는 해당 액정을 구동하기 위한 전극이 각각 형성되며,상기 제 1 기판 및 상기 제 2 기판 중 한쪽 기판에는 상기 액정의 배향을 규제하는 배향 규제 수단이 상기 투과 표시 영역에 형성되어 이루어지며,상기 제 2 기판 쪽으로부터 입사된 광은, 상기 제 1 기판에 마련되어, 상기 배향 규제 수단과 평면적으로 중첩 배치되어 이루어지는 반사막에서 반사되어 상기 반사 표시에 제공되는것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 기판의 액정층과 반대쪽에는 투과 표시용 백라이트가 마련되고, 상기 제 1 기판과 상기 액정층 사이에는 상기 반사 표시 영역에 형성된 반사 표시용 반사막이 배치되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 배향 규제 수단은 상기 제 1 기판에 마련되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 배향 규제 수단은 상기 제 2 기판에 마련되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 배향 규제 수단은 복수 마련되어 이루어지고, 상기 배향 규제 수단의 모두가 상기 반사막과 평면적으로 중첩 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 기판 및 상기 제 2 기판의 다른쪽 기판에는 상기 배향 규제 수단이 상기 투과 표시 영역에 형성되어 이루어지고,상기 제 2 기판 쪽으로부터 입사된 광은, 상기 제 1 기판에 마련되어, 상기 다른쪽 기판의 상기 배향 규제 수단과 평면적으로 중첩 배치되어 이루어지는 반사막에서 반사되어 상기 반사 표시에 제공되는것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 투과 표시 영역은 상기 반사 표시 영역보다 상기 액정층의 층 두께가 크게 구성되고, 상기 배향 규제 수단에 대하여 평면적으로 중첩 배치된 상기 반사막의 형성 영역도, 상기 반사 표시 영역보다 액정층의 층 두께가 크게 구성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 투과 표시 영역의 액정층 두께를 상기 반사 표시 영역의 액정층 두께보다 크게 구성하기 위해, 상기 제 1 기판 및 상기 제 2 기판 중 한쪽 기판과 상기 액정층 사이에 액정층 두께 조정층이 마련되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 배향 규제 수단은 상기 수직 배향된 액정 분자의 전계 변화에 근거하여 경사지는 방향을 규제하는 구성을 구비하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
