Abstract
PURPOSE:To offer ceramic superconductive wire with a film in fine crystals by using as a core a single wire or cluster of such wires as made from a non- ferromagnetic and heat resistant material, cooling the core below 173 deg.K, and furnishing a ceramic superconductive film at the outside of the core by means of CVD method, followed by a heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:As a core, such a non-ferromagnetic material is used as having a melting point over the heat treatment temp., and made in perovskite type crystal structure of, for ex., SrTiO3, BaPO3, etc. While this core is cooled below 173 deg.K, the periphery is coated with ceramic superconductor by means of PVD method. Because cooled and coated in this manner, atoms get rid of cohesive heat quickly and freeze after minor surface movement. Therefore the atoms are in quasi-stable state with high energy in fine non-crystalline structure, different from stable structure with low energy, and a heat treatment of this film under O2 atmosphere at 400-1000 deg.C will yield fine crystal grains. Treatment at a temp. exceeding 173 deg.K can not yield uniform and fine crystal grains.
