Description
さらに、前記最厚部は、良好な弾力性及び柔軟性を有しているので、凸部が繊維密度の高い周面部を有していても、凸部の硬さが感取されにくく、良好な肌触りを提供ことができる。
また、本明細書において、幅方向DWは、展開した状態の使い捨ておむつ1(吸収性物品)において、平面視にて幅方向(短手方向)を指し、長手方向DLは、展開した状態の使い捨ておむつ1(吸収性物品)において、平面視にて長手方向(着用者の前後方向)を指し、厚さ方向DTは、展開した状態の使い捨ておむつ1(吸収性物品)における厚さ方向を指し、これらの幅方向DL、長手方向DL及び厚さ方向DTは、それぞれ互いに直交する関係にある。
図3及び図4に示すように、本実施形態の不織布2では、凸部21の頂面部21Tは、頂面の平面形状が円形である。頂面の平面形状がこのような円形であると、前記頂面部21Tが前記周面部21Wによって頂面周縁部分21Cに沿って均等に支持されるため、前記凸部21に(特に、前記頂面部21Tに)局所的に潰れやすい部分が形成されにくく、他の平面形状のもの比べて凸部21が潰れにくくなる。なお、本実施形態では、前記頂面の平面形状は、直径約10mmの円形であるが、本発明において、前記頂面のサイズは特に制限されず、所望の肌触りや強度、液の透過性等を考慮して任意のサイズを採用することができる。また、本明細書において、頂面周縁部分は、頂面の平面形状の輪郭に沿った周縁部分を意味する。
本実施形態において前記凸部21の周面部21Wは、略円柱状の凸部21の側面に対応する部分であって、平坦状に広がる基部22の第1面2aから厚さ方向DTに起立し、前記厚さ方向DTに延びる略筒状の構造を有していて、前記基部22と反対側の端縁において前記頂面部21Tと繋がっている。そして、本実施形態において、前記基部22の第1面2aと前記周面部の外表面とのなす角度(以下、「起立角」という。)は、図4に示すように略90°であるが、本発明においてはこのような角度に限定されず、前記起立角は、90°を超える角度であっても、90°未満の角度であってもよい。この起立角が、90°を超える角度であると、周面部が頂面部をより強固に支持することができるため、凸部をより潰れにくくすることができる。また、起立角が90°未満の角度であると、凸部が不織布の面方向に変形しやすくなるため、不織布の面方向に圧力が掛かるような場合(例えば、不織布の表面に沿って肌面が移動する場合等)でも、良好な肌触りを提供することができる。
本発明の不織布において、基部は、上述の凸部を有する第1面及び該第1面に相反する第2面を有し、且つ略平坦状に広がる部分である。前記基部の厚みは、良好なクッション性や柔軟性、液の透過性等を阻害しない限り特に限定されず、任意の厚みを採用することができる。不織布のクッション性や柔軟性、肌触り、液戻り防止性、液の透過性などの点から、例えば0.10mm〜10.0mmの範囲内であり、好ましくは0.15mm〜7.0mm、更に好ましくは0.20mm〜5.0mmの範囲内である。
本発明において、不織布の坪量は、特に限定されないが、好ましくは10g/m2〜100g/m2であり、更に好ましくは15g/m2〜50g/m2である。坪量が10g/m2以上であると、不織布として十分な表面強度が得られるため、例えば、不織布を吸収性物品の表面シートに適用した場合に、吸収性物品の使用中に表面シートが破れにくい。また、坪量が100g/m2以下であると、ごわつき等が生じないため、例えば、不織布を吸収性物品の表面シートに適用した場合に、吸収性物品の使用中に、着用者に不快感や違和感が生じにくい。
1.3dtexの繊度を有し、PET/HDPEの芯鞘型複合繊維を開繊機にて開繊した後、カード機にて前記繊維のフォーミングを行った。フォーミングされたカードウェブをメッシュコンベアにより搬送し、サクションドラムの外周面に取り付けられたパターンプレート上に供給した。前記サクションドラムを回転させながら、前記サクションドラムの外周面に形成された吸引孔からの負圧によって、前記カードウェブを前記パターンプレートの貫通孔内に吸引するとともに、前記カードウェブに対し、サクションドラムの下方側に配置されたエアジェットノズルから、180℃の熱風を風速50.0m/秒で吹き付けることにより、前記カードウェブを前記パターンプレートに沿わせて、前記カードウェブに複数の凸部を賦形した。さらに、前記複数の凸部が賦形されたウェブを熱処理機に搬送して、温度135℃、風速0.9m/秒の温風条件下で熱処理を行った後、熱処理後のウェブを巻き取ることにより、実施例1の不織布を得た。なお、得られた不織布の坪量は25g/m2であった。
エアジェットノズルから吹き付ける熱風の温度及び風速を、それぞれ143℃及び29.2m/秒としたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして比較例1の不織布を得た。なお、得られた不織布の坪量は25g/m2であった。
[繊維密度の測定方法]
走査型電子顕微鏡(例えば、KEYENCE社製「リアルサーフェスビュー顕微鏡 VE−7800」)を用いて、不織布の切断面を、該不織布の厚み方向における中点を観察の中心として拡大観察したとき(すなわち、繊維断面が20〜70本程度観察できる程度の倍率であって、通常、20〜100倍の倍率で観察したとき)の一定面積(2mm2程度)当たりの繊維の切断断面数を数える。数えた切断断面数を1mm2当たりの繊維の切断断面数に換算し、これを繊維密度(本/mm2)とする。なお、この繊維密度の測定は3箇所で行い、その平均値をサンプルの繊維密度とする。
複数の凸部を有する不織布を100mm×100mmの四角形にカットしたサンプルシートを、10枚用意する。用意した10枚のサンプルシートを重ねて、株式会社島津製作所製「オートグラフAGS−1kNG」の測定台にセットする。チャック間の距離:35mm、圧縮速度:25mm/分、最大荷重26Nの試験条件にて、1サイクルの圧縮試験を行う。サンプルシートが圧縮されて、チャック間の距離が縮まったときのサンプルシートの厚み(cm)を計測し、当該厚みをサンプルシートの坪量(g/cm2)で除することにより、サンプルシートの圧縮比容積(cm3/g)を得る。さらに、得られた圧縮比容積をサンプルシート内に存在する凸部の個数(個)で除した値を、複数の凸部を有する不織布の、凸部1個当たりの圧縮比容積(cm3/g/個)とする。
また、実施例1及び比較例1の各不織布における凸部の繊維密度と、凸部1個当たりの圧縮比容積の測定結果を表1に示す。
また、実施例1の不織布は、図10(a)及び(b)に示すように、凸部が基部の第1面から厚さ方向に起立する周面部と、前記凸部の頭頂を形成する頂面を有する頂面部とを備え、且つ前記頂面部の頂面周縁部分の一部が最厚部として構成された、特定の構造を有していて、凸部を有する表面の肌触りが良好であった。一方、比較例1の不織布は、図11に示すように、凸部が略半球状の構造を有していて、凸部を有する表面の肌触りが、前記凸部を感取しやすい肌触りであった。

- 互いに相反する第1面及び第2面を有し且つ平坦状に広がる基部と、前記基部の第1面から厚さ方向に突出する複数の凸部と、を備える不織布であって、
前記凸部は、前記基部の第1面から厚さ方向に起立する周面部と、前記凸部の頭頂を形成する頂面を有する頂面部と、を備えていて、
前記周面部の繊維密度が、前記頂面部の繊維密度よりも高く、
前記頂面部は、平面視にて前記不織布の機械方向又は該機械方向に直交する方向において、一方側に位置する頂面周縁部分が相対的に厚みの厚い部分として構成されるとともに、他方側に位置する頂面周縁部分が相対的に厚みの薄い部分として構成され、さらに、前記厚みの厚い部分が前記不織布の中で最も厚い厚みを有する最厚部を含む、前記不織布。 - 前記周面部の繊維密度が前記基部の繊維密度よりも高い、請求項1に記載の不織布。
- 前記頂面部の頂面が窪んでいる、請求項1又は2に記載の不織布。
