Description
本願は、2006年3月15日に出願された「LNGの船上再ガス化」(Onboard Regasification of LNG)と題する米国特許仮出願Serial No.60/782,282、及び2006年11月13日に出願された「LNGの船上再ガス化」(Onboard Regasification of LNG)と題する完成米国特許出願Serial No.11/559,136、及び2006年9月11日に出願された「LNGの船舶間積み替え中の沸騰オフガス管理」(Boil Off Gas Management During Ship−To−Ship Transfer of LNG)と題する米国特許仮出願Serial No.60/843,395の優先権を主張するものである。上に記載した特許出願の夫々の開示は参考のため全体的にここに入れてある。
本発明は、液化天然ガス(LNG)の船上再ガス化のための方法に関する。本発明は、更に、LNGの船上再ガス化のための受け取り船に関する。
天然ガスは、石炭又は油のいずれよりも生ずる排気物及び汚染物質が少ないので、最もクリーンな燃焼用石化燃料である。天然ガス(NG)は、「液化天然ガス(LNG)」として液体状態で或る場所から別の場所へ輸送されるのが慣例である。天然ガスの液化は、LNGが、同じ量の天然ガスがそのガス状態で占める体積の約 1/600しか占めないので輸送するのに一層経済的である。或る場所から別の場所へのLNGの輸送は、「LNGC」と呼ばれている低温貯蔵能力を有する二重船郭海洋航行船舶を用いて達成されるのが最も一般的である。
本発明の一つの態様により、液体天然ガス(LNG)を沖合再ガス化し、ガスとして陸上へ供給する方法において、
船舶間積み替え場所で配送船から受取り船へLNGを荷降ろしすること;
前記受取り船を自身の動力で船舶間積み替え場所から、前記船舶間積み替え場所よりも海岸に近くなっている係留場所へ移動すること;
前記受取り船上の再ガス化施設を用いてLNGを再ガス化し、前記係留場所で天然ガスを形成し;そして
前記天然ガスを最終ユーザーへ配送するための陸上ガス分配施設へ移すこと;を含む方法が与えられる。
受取り船をそれ自身の動力で配送船からLNGを受取るための船舶間積み替え場所を出入りするように動かし、前記船舶間積み替え場所よりも海岸に近い係留場所へ移動させるための推進システム;
LNGを再ガス化して天然ガスを形成するための受取り船上の再ガス化施設;及び
前記天然ガスを受取り最終ユーザーへ配送するための陸上ガス分配施設;
を含む。
ガスとして陸上へ送るためLNGを沖合で再ガス化するための、本発明の方法の特別な態様を次に記述する。ここで用いる用語は、特別な態様を記述する目的のためだけのものであり、本発明の範囲を限定するためのものではない。別に定義しない限り、ここで用いる技術的及び科学的用語は、全て本発明が属する分野の当業者によって普通に理解されるものと同じ意味を有する。
Claims (16)
- 陸上へガスとして送るため液体天然ガス(LNG)を沖合再ガス化するための方法において、
LNGを配送船から受取り船へ船舶間積み替え場所で荷降ろしすること;
前記受取り船を自身の動力で前記船舶間積み替え場所から、前記船舶間積み替え場所よりも海岸に近い係留場所へ移動させること;
前記受取り船上の再ガス化施設を用いてLNGを再ガス化し、前記係留場所で天然ガスを形成すること;及び
前記天然ガスを、最終的ユーザーへ送るための陸上ガス分配施設へ移送すること;
を含む、再ガス化法。 - 更に、配送船からLNGを受取り船へ荷降ろしする工程の前に、配送船を受取り船に係留する工程を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 配送船又は受取り船のうち小回りのききにくい方を予め合意した速度で前進させ、二つの船舶のうち小回りのききにくい方が船尾左舷に大波を受けるように船首方位を選択し、配送船が受取り船へ係留されてしまうまでその船首方位を維持する、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 配送船又は受取り船のうち小回りのききにくい方を予め合意した速度で前進させ、船首方位を、二つの船舶のうち小回りがきく方を吹いてくる風雨に直接船首を向けるように選択し、その船首方位を配送船が受取り船へ係留されてしまうまで維持する、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 配送船と受取り船を一緒に係留し、LNGを配送船から受取り船へ荷降ろしする間並べて運行させながら前進させる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 配送船と受取り船を一緒に係留し、LNGを配送船から受取り船へ荷降ろしする間並べて漂流させる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 配送船と受取り船を縦並びに運行させながら、LNGを配送船から受取り船へ縦並び荷降ろしにより荷降ろしする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 受取り船の船体中、LNGをその揺動に耐えられるタンク中に貯蔵し、前記受取り船がそれに関連した支持船体構造を有する、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 受取り船が、配送船のエンジン能力と比較して小さいエンジン能力を有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 受取り船が推進システムを有し、前記推進システムが二重燃料ガスタービン、二重燃料ディーゼル、又は二重燃料ディーゼル・電気システムを含んでいる、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 受取り船の推進システムに必要な動力が、受取り船上の再ガス化に必要な動力と共有されている、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 受取り船の推進システムに、配送船と比較して優れた係留及び位置取り能力を受取り船に与える船首と船尾の両方に位置する横断スラスターを有する二軸スクリュー、固定ピッチプロペラが取付けてある、請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 係留場所が、その係留場所で受取り船を係留するための、水中に沈めることが可能で切り離し可能な係留ブイで、受取り船の船体内で船首の方に配置された凹部内に位置させることができる係留ブイを含む、請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 船上再ガス化施設へ熱源として周囲の空気を用いてLNGを再ガス化する、請求項1〜13のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- LNGが中間的流体との熱交換により再ガス化され、前記中間的流体が、熱源として周囲の空気を用いて加熱される、請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 周囲の空気とLNG又は中間的流体との間の熱交換が、強制通風送風機を使用することにより促進される、請求項1〜15のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
