Claims (3)
- トナー像を担持する像担持体と、
前記像担持体に接触しながら回転し、前記像担持体上の前記トナー像を記録材へ転写する転写ローラと、
前記転写ローラを回転させる駆動手段と、
前記転写ローラと前記像担持体を接触離間させる接離手段と、
前記転写ローラと前記像担持体の接触時及び離間時に、回転する前記転写ローラに接触し、前記転写ローラに付着するトナーを静電的に除去するクリーニング部材と、
前記転写ローラと前記クリーニング部材の間にクリーニング電流を流す電源と、
前記転写ローラが前記像担持体に接触して第1の速度で回転する時の前記クリーニング電流の電流値が、前記転写ローラが前記像担持体から離間して前記第1の速度より低い第2の速度で回転する時の前記クリーニング電流の電流値よりも大きくなるように、前記クリーニング電流の電流値を制御する制御手段と、
を有することを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記転写ローラの回転負荷に応じて、前記駆動手段が前記転写ローラへ与える駆動力を制限する手段を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記クリーニング部材はブラシであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の画像形成装置。
