Description
稼働の繰り返しにて生じる昇温−降温の温度差が発生しても、支持基板の側面における固体電解質のクラック発生を防止できる。これにより、製造歩留まりを向上し、コストの低減ができ、発電特性を長期にわたって維持できる。また、支持基板に別個に燃料側電極層を設けた場合には、支持基板は支持体としての機能を、燃料側電極は電極としての機能のみを有することができ、導電性支持基板と燃料側電極の使用材料の選択幅を広げることができる。さらに、固体電解質、拡散防止層、酸素側電極の順に形成面積が小さくなるため、酸素側電極から固体電解質層への元素拡散を有効に抑制できる。また、固体電解質、拡散防止層、酸素側電極の順に熱膨張係数が大きくなるが、形成面積がこの順で小さくなるため、応力が緩和され、固体電解質と酸素側電極との剥離を防止できる。

Claims (6)
- 板状の支持基板の一方側主面に燃料側電極層、固体電解質、Ceを含有する拡散防止層、酸素側電極、他方側主面にインターコネクタを設けるとともに、前記固体電解質が前記支持基板の一方側主面上から前記支持基板の側面上にまで形成されており、かつ前記拡散防止層を、前記固体電解質と前記酸素側電極との間であって、前記支持基板の一方側主面上にのみ形成してなるとともに、前記固体電解質表面の一部に前記拡散防止層が形成され、該拡散防止層表面の一部に前記酸素側電極が形成されていることを特徴とする燃料電池セル。
- 燃料側電極を兼ねる板状の支持基板の一方側主面に固体電解質、Ceを含有する拡散防止層、酸素側電極、他方側主面にインターコネクタを設けるとともに、前記固体電解質が前記支持基板の一方側主面上から前記支持基板の側面上にまで形成されており、かつ前記拡散防止層を、前記固体電解質と前記酸素側電極との間であって、前記支持基板の一方側主面上にのみ形成してなるとともに、前記固体電解質表面の一部に前記拡散防止層が形成され、該拡散防止層表面の一部に前記酸素側電極が形成されていることを特徴とする燃料電池セル。
- 前記支持基板の側面が外方に突出する曲面状であることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の燃料電池セル。
- 前記拡散防止層は、前記支持基板の長さ方向全域にわたって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のうちいずれかに記載の燃料電池セル。
- 分散型発電用として用いられることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のうちいずれかに記載の燃料電池セル。
- 請求項1乃至5のうちいずれかに記載の燃料電池セルを収納容器内に複数収納してなることを特徴とする燃料電池。
