Description
前記外方部材のインボード側端を閉塞するセンサキャップを設ける。このセンサキャップの合成樹脂製部分に、その外表面に開口させてインサートナットを埋め込み、このインサートナットと並んで前記センサキャップにセンサ挿入孔を設ける。センサが取付けられたセンサ支持部材を前記センサキャップの外表面に配置して前記センサを前記センサ挿入孔に挿入する。前記センサ支持部材に設けられたボルト挿入孔にセンサ固定ボルトを挿入して前記インサートナットにねじ込むことにより前記センサ支持部材を固定する。前記センサと対向するパルサリングを前記内方部材に設ける。前記センサキャップは、前記インサートナットの奥側端面に位置してインサートナット内からセンサキャップ内に貫通する小径孔を有する。この小径孔は、インサートナットの奥側端面に対向する受け面を内周に有していて、弾性を持つシール部材を前記受け面と前記インサートナットの奥側端面の間に締め代を持って介在させることにより密封する。
なお、パルサリング9は、円周方向にNS交互に磁極を有する多極磁石等からなる磁気エンコーダであっても良い。
シール部材25の形状に合わせて、前記小径孔23は内面が球面状の孔とされる。センサキャップ底面部13aにおけるインサートナット15の奥側端面に対応する箇所の肉厚部分13aaと、この肉厚部分13aaから裏面に突出して内周面が前記受け面24となる環状突部13abとに渡り、小径孔23の前記球面状の内面が形成されている。

Claims (4)
- 内周に複列の転走面を有し車体に取付けられる外方部材と、これら転走面に対向する転走面を有し車輪が取付けられる内方部材と、対向する転走面間に介在した複列の転動体とを備える車輪用軸受装置において、
前記外方部材のインボード側端を閉塞するセンサキャップを設け、このセンサキャップの合成樹脂製部分に、その外表面に開口させてインサートナットを埋め込み、このインサートナットと並んで前記センサキャップにセンサ挿入孔を設け、センサが取付けられたセンサ支持部材を前記センサキャップの外表面に配置して前記センサを前記センサ挿入孔に挿入し、前記センサ支持部材に設けられたボルト挿入孔にセンサ固定ボルトを挿入して前記インサートナットにねじ込むことにより前記センサ支持部材を固定し、前記センサと対向するパルサリングを前記内方部材に設け、前記センサキャップは、前記インサートナットの奥側端面に位置してインサートナット内からセンサキャップ内に貫通する小径孔を有し、この小径孔は、インサートナットの奥側端面に対向する受け面を内周に有していて、弾性を持つシール部材を前記受け面と前記インサートナットの奥側端面の間に締代を持って介在させることにより密封し、
前記シール部材が球であり、前記小径孔が、内面が球面状の孔であって、前記インサートナットの奥側端面に対応する箇所のセンサキャップの肉厚部分と、この肉厚部分から裏面に突出して内周面が前記受け面となる環状突部とに渡って形成されたものであることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 請求項1において、前記シール部材がゴム球である車輪用軸受装置。
- 請求項2において、ゴム球の材質が、ニトリルゴム、フッ素ゴム、アクリルゴム、水素化ニトリルゴムのいずれかである車輪用軸受装置。
- 請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項において、前記センサ挿入孔の内周面には、スリーブが嵌合され、このスリーブ内に前記センサが挿入されている車輪用軸受装置。
