Claims (40)

前記音響波形の送信において、1つ以上の波形シンセサイザによって、前記ターゲットに向けて送信される音響波形として、合成波形を構成する複数の実質的に直交する符号化波形を合成するステップであって、前記各波形は、別個の周波数帯域に対応し、前記符号化波形は、周波数符号化波形又は位相符号化波形の少なくとも1つを含むステップと、
前記音響イメージングデバイスの送信/受信スイッチを、前記ターゲットの少なくとも一部から戻る応答音響波形を受信する受信モードに切り換えるステップと、
前記受信した応答音響波形を、前記ターゲットの情報を含む受信合成波形としてアナログ形式からデジタル形式に変換するステップと、
前記受信合成波形を処理して、前記ターゲットの少なくとも一部の画像を生成するステップと、

- 前記位相は、前記受信合成波形の対応する周波数帯域の少なくとも1つの周波数帯域について、個別に位相重み付けされ、前記音響波形のステアリング、フォーカシング又は成形の少なくとも1つを提供する請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記合成波形に基づいて、無線周波数(RF)波形を形成するステップを更に有する請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記RF波形に基づいて、音響波形を形成するステップを更に有する請求項14記載の方法。
- 前記RF波形を増幅するステップを更に有する請求項14記載の方法。
- 前記音響波形は、前記複数の符号化波形に関係付けられた対応する周波数帯域を含む空間的に結合された音響波形である請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記受信した応答音響波形を増幅するステップを更に有する請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記受信合成波形を処理するステップは、デジタルシグナルプロセッサ(DSP)によって実行される請求項1記載の方法。
- 波形発生器に接続された1つ以上の波形シンセサイザを有する波形生成ユニットであって、前記波形発生器から提供される波形情報に基づいて、前記1つ以上の波形シンセサイザによって生成され、周波数帯域に対応する複数の実質的に直交する符号化波形を含む合成波形を合成し、前記符号化波形は、周波数符号化波形又は位相符号化波形の少なくとも1つを含む波形生成ユニットと、
送信モードと受信モードとの間で切り換えられる送信/受信スイッチングユニットと、
前記送信/受信スイッチングユニットと通信し、前記合成波形に基づいて、ターゲットに向けて音響波形を送信し、前記ターゲットの少なくとも一部から戻る応答音響波形を受信するトランスデューサ要素のアレイと、
前記トランスデューサ要素のアレイが受信した前記応答音響波形を、前記ターゲットの情報を含む受信合成波形としてアナログ形式からデジタル形式に変換するアナログ/デジタル(A/D)変換器のアレイと、
前記波形生成ユニット及び前記A/D変換器のアレイと通信し、前記受信合成波形を処理して、前記ターゲットの少なくとも一部の画像を生成する処理ユニットを含むコントローラユニットと、
前記コントローラユニットと通信するユーザインタフェースユニットと、
を備える音響波形イメージングシステム。 - 前記ユーザインタフェースユニットは、前記画像を表示するディスプレイを備える請求項20記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記波形生成ユニットは、前記送信/受信スイッチングユニットと前記1つ以上の波形シンセサイザの間に配置され、前記合成波形を変更する1つ以上の増幅器を備える請求項20記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記送信/受信スイッチングユニットと前記少なくとも1つのA/D変換器のアレイとの間に配置され、受信した前記応答音響波形を変更する1つ以上の前置増幅器のアレイを更に備える請求項20記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記処理ユニットは、デジタルシグナルプロセッサ(DSP)を備える請求項20記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記コントローラユニットは、前記音響波形イメージングシステムの要素の少なくとも1つにおける時間を同期させるマスタクロックを備える請求項20記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記ユーザインタフェースユニットは、前記コントローラユニットと通信し、ユーザから入力を受け取る1つ以上のユーザインタフェースを備える請求項20記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記入力は、動作モードを含む請求項26記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記動作モードは、前記応答音響波形から得られる1つ以上の測定された特性の少なくとも1つの特徴に基づくカラー画像符号化を可能にする生体組織のイメージングのためのATSモード(人工組織染色モード)の少なくとも1つを含む請求項27記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記動作モードは、前記応答音響波形から得られる1つ以上の測定された特性の少なくとも1つの特徴に基づいて生体組織タイプを分類する1つ以上のアルゴリズム分類器を用いる生体組織のイメージングのためのCADモード(コンピュータ支援診断モード)の少なくとも1つを含む請求項27記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記ユーザインタフェースユニットは、前記分類された生体組織タイプに基づいて、生体組織のカラー符号化された画像を表示するディスプレイを備える請求項29記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記トランスデューサ要素のアレイは、2つ以上のサブアレイに区切られ、前記送信された音響波形に対応する周波数帯域の少なくとも1つの周波数帯域について、前記2つ以上のサブアレイの少なくとも1つは、個別に振幅重み付けされ、前記2つ以上のサブアレイの少なくとも1つは、個別に位相重み付けされ、及び結合されて、クロスレンジ分解能を向上させる請求項20記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 前記トランスデューサ要素のアレイは、2つ以上のサブアレイに区切られ、前記受信した応答音響波形に対応する周波数帯域の少なくとも1つの周波数帯域について、前記2つ以上のサブアレイの少なくとも1つは、個別に振幅重み付けされ、前記2つ以上のサブアレイの少なくとも1つは、個別に位相重み付けされ、及び結合されて、クロスレンジ分解能を向上させる請求項20記載の音響波形イメージングシステム。
- 音響波形から画像を生成する方法において、
送信/受信スイッチを送信モードに切り換えるステップと、
複数の動作モードから動作モードを選択するステップと、
1つ以上の波形シンセサイザによって、合成波形を構成する複数の実質的に直交する符号化波形を合成するステップであって、前記各波形は、別個の周波数帯域に対応し、前記符号化波形は、周波数符号化波形又は位相符号化波形の少なくとも1つを含むステップと、
前記合成波形に基づく音響波形をターゲットに向けて送信するステップと、
前記送信/受信スイッチを受信モードに切り換えるステップと、
前記ターゲットの少なくとも一部から戻る応答音響波形を受信するステップと、
前記受信した応答音響波形を、前記ターゲットの情報を含む受信合成波形としてアナログ形式からデジタル形式に変換するステップと、
前記受信合成波形を処理して、前記ターゲットの少なくとも一部の画像を生成するステップと、
を有する方法。 - 前記動作モードは、前記応答音響波形から得られる1つ以上の測定された特性の少なくとも1つの特徴に基づくカラー画像符号化を可能にする生体組織のイメージングのためのATSモードの少なくとも1つを含む請求項33記載の方法。
- 前記動作モードは、前記応答音響波形から得られる1つ以上の測定された特性の少なくとも1つの特徴に基づいて生体組織タイプを分類する1つ以上のアルゴリズム分類器を用いる生体組織のイメージングのためのCADモードの少なくとも1つを含む請求項33記載の方法。
- 前記分類された生体組織タイプに基づいて、生体組織のカラー符号化された画像を表示するステップを更に有する請求項35記載の方法。
- 前記周波数符号化波形を合成するステップは、前記周波数帯域に対応する2つ以上の搬送波周波数を選択し、前記符号化波形の各波形の1つ以上の振幅及び時間−帯域幅積パラメータを決定するステップを含む請求項33記載の方法。
- 前記位相符号化波形を合成するステップは、上記符号化波形の各波形の時間−帯域幅積パラメータ及び位相パラメータを決定するステップを含む請求項33記載の方法。
- 音響波形から画像を生成する方法において、
異なる周波数帯域に対応する複数の符号化波形を結合して、異なる周波数帯域において実質的に直交する波形信号を含む合成波形を生成するステップであって、前記符号化波形は、周波数符号化波形又は位相符号化波形の少なくとも1つを含むステップと、
前記合成波形を用いて、ターゲットに向かう異なる周波数帯域を含む音響プローブ波を生成するステップと、
前記音響プローブ波を前記ターゲットに送信した後に、前記ターゲットの少なくとも一部から戻る音響エネルギを受信するステップと、
前記受信した音響エネルギを、前記ターゲットの情報を含むデジタル合成波形に変換するステップと、
前記受信合成波形を処理して、前記ターゲットの少なくとも一部の画像を生成するステップと、
を有する方法。 - 音響波形から画像を生成するデバイスにおいて、
異なる周波数帯域に対応する複数の符号化波形を結合して、異なる周波数帯域において実質的に直交する波形信号を含む合成波形を生成する手段であって、前記符号化波形は、周波数符号化波形又は位相符号化波形の少なくとも1つを含む手段と、
前記合成波形を用いて、ターゲットに向かう異なる周波数帯域を含む音響プローブ波を生成する手段と、
前記音響プローブ波を前記ターゲットに送信した後に、前記ターゲットの少なくとも一部から戻る音響エネルギを受信する手段と、
前記受信した音響エネルギを、前記ターゲットの情報を含むデジタル合成波形に変換する手段と、
前記受信合成波形を処理して、前記ターゲットの少なくとも一部の画像を生成する手段と、
を備えるデバイス。
