Abstract
Description
触媒1A:Pd−Fe/ベータゼオライト+Pt/Al2O3
ベータゼオライトを、硝酸鉄水溶液に添加し、その後、シリカ結合剤を添加して、スラリーを形成する。スラリーを、フロースルーコージエライト基材上に被覆し、190g/ft3のFeの鉄装填量を得て、Fe/ゼオライト被覆基材を乾燥し、次いで、500℃で4時間加熱することにより焼成する。次いで、パラジウムを、硝酸Pd水溶液の含浸により、Fe/ゼオライト被覆基材に添加し、50g/ft3のPd装填量を得て、Pd−Fe/ゼオライト被覆基材を乾燥し、次いで、500℃で、4時間加熱することにより焼成する。
触媒1Bを、Pd/セリア成分を完成した触媒1Aに添加することにより調製する。パラジウム/セリアを、セリアへの硝酸パラジウムのインシピエントウェットネスにより調製し、その後、乾燥し、500℃で2時間焼成する。次いで、Pd/セリアを粉砕して、平均粒度を直径10ミクロン未満にし、水に添加して、スラリーを形成する。Pd/セリアスラリー、および触媒1Aの調製からのPt/アルミナスラリーを、触媒1Aの調製からのPd−Fe/ゼオライト被覆基材上に被覆し、50g/ft3のPd装填量を得て、最終の被覆された基材を乾燥し、次いで、500℃で、4時間加熱することにより焼成して、触媒1B(ゼオライト上の50g/ft3のPdおよび190g/ft3のFe;アルミナ上の50g/ft3のPt;ならびにセリア上の50g/ft3のPdを含有する)を生成する。
ベータゼオライトモノリス(ベータゼオライトを押し出し成形して、ハニカムモノリスにすることにより形成され、例えば、米国特許第5,492,883号、第5,565,394号、および第5,633,217号を参照されたい)に、硝酸鉄水溶液を含浸させ、その後、乾燥し、500℃で、4時間加熱することにより焼成し、800g/ft3のFe装填量を得て、次いで、硝酸パラジウム溶液を含浸させ、その後、乾燥し、500℃で、4時間焼成し、50g/ft3のPd装填量を得る。
鉄含有ZSM5ゼオライト(7wt.%Fe2O3)をFe/ベータゼオライトの代わりに使用することを除き、触媒1Aの手順を反復して、触媒1D(ゼオライト上の50g/ft3のPd、170g/ft3のFe;およびアルミナ上の50g/ft3のPtを含有する)を生成する。
鉄を導入したベータゼオライト(Al原子がFeにより置換されているFe−βゼオライト)を、Fe/ベータゼオライトの代わりに使用することを除き、触媒1Aの手順を反復して、触媒1E(ゼオライトからの50g/ft3のPd、250g/ft3のFe;およびアルミナ上の50g/ft3のPtを含有する)を生成する。
比較用触媒2A:Pt/Al2O3+Pd/CeO2
比較用触媒2Aは、WO2008/047170に開示されている層状システムに類似した、コールドスタート時のNOxを抑制するための従来の触媒である。その触媒を、フロースルーコージエライト基材に被覆を行い、Pd−Fe担持押出しベータゼオライトを含まず、PdおよびPt装填量も増加されることを除き、触媒1Cの手順に従って調製する。比較用触媒2Aは、Pd/セリア上の100g/ft3のPd、およびPt/アルミナ上の100g/ft3のPtを含有する。
比較用触媒2Bは、炭化水素トラップ成分としてゼオライトを含有する、典型的なディーゼル酸化触媒である。その触媒を以下の通りに調製する。
すべての触媒を、触媒で被覆されたフロースルーコージエライト基材のコアサンプル(2.54cm×8.4cm)について試験する。触媒コアを、まず、炉内で、750℃の水熱条件(5%H2O、残りは空気)下で、フロースルー条件下で16時間エージングする。次いで、個々の排ガス成分の質量流量を調整することにより調製した供給ガス流を使用して、コアを、実験用反応器において、触媒活性について試験する。ガス流量を、21.2Lmin−1に維持し、その結果として、気体時空間速度(Gas Hourly Space Velocity)が、30,000h−1(GHSV=30,000h−1)になる。
Claims (15)
- (1)卑金属と貴金属とゼオライトとを含むゼオライト触媒と、(2)1種または複数の白金族金属と1種または複数の無機酸化物担体とを含む担持白金族金属触媒とを含む、コールドスタート触媒。
- 卑金属が、鉄、銅、マンガン、クロム、コバルト、ニッケル、スズ、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のコールドスタート触媒。
- 卑金属が鉄である、請求項1に記載のコールドスタート触媒。
- 貴金属が、白金、パラジウム、ロジウム、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のコールドスタート触媒。
- 貴金属がパラジウムである、請求項1に記載のコールドスタート触媒。
- ゼオライトが、ベータゼオライト、フォージャサイト、L−ゼオライト、ZSMゼオライト、SSZ−ゼオライト、モルデナイト、チャバサイト、オフレタイト、エリオナイト、クリノプチロライト、シリカライト、リン酸アルミニウムゼオライト、メソポーラスゼオライト、金属導入ゼオライト、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のコールドスタート触媒。
- ゼオライトが、ベータゼオライト、ZSM−5、Fe−βゼオライト、SSZ−33、Y−ゼオライト、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のコールドスタート触媒。
- 1種または複数の白金族金属が、白金、パラジウム、ロジウム、イリジウム、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のコールドスタート触媒。
- 1種または複数の無機酸化物担体が、アルミナ、シリカ、チタニア、ジルコニア、セリア、ニオビア、タンタル酸化物、モリブデン酸化物、タングステン酸化物、およびそれらの混合酸化物または複合酸化物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のコールドスタート触媒。
- 請求項1に記載のコールドスタート触媒と、フロースルーまたはフィルター基材とを含む排気システム。
- フロースルー基材が、ハニカムモノリスである、請求項10に記載の排気システム。
- ゼオライト触媒および担持白金族金属触媒が、フロースルーまたはフィルター基材上に被覆される、請求項10に記載の排気システム。
- フロースルーまたはフィルター基材が、ゼオライト触媒から構成され、担持白金族金属触媒が、ゼオライト触媒フロースルーまたはフィルター基材上に被覆される、請求項10に記載の排気システム。
- 請求項1に記載のコールドスタート触媒を含む、内燃エンジン用排気システム。
- 選択触媒還元触媒システム、微粒子捕集フィルター、選択触媒還元フィルターシステム、NOx吸着触媒、三元触媒システム、またはそれらの組み合わせをさらに含む、請求項14に記載の排気システム。
