Abstract

915,747. Distributing fluid. COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. April 21, 1959 [April 26, 1958], No. 13548/59. Class 21. A fluid distributing apparatus comprises a stationary cylindrical container 3 divided into a plurality of lower compartments 10 by partitions 11 extending from a central pivot 7, and a cylindrical container 2 within the container 3 and rotatable on the pivot 7. Fluid enters the container 2 through a stationary central pipe 1 and escapes via a lower opening 5 into any one of the compartments 10 depending upon the rotational setting of the container 2 by means such as an operating wheel 9 on, or a control cable extending round, the extension 6 of, the container 2. The contents of the containers 2, 3 are sealed from the atmosphere by a collar 33 and seals 17, 18; and a further seal 48, Fig. 3 (not shown), prevents leakage of lubricant from a ballbearing race and from a control cable around the extension 6. The seals may be of polytetrafluoroethylene. Each compartment 10 has an outflow line 4. The container 3 is surrounded by an overflow chamber 12 in communication with the several compartments 10 by openings 13. The chamber 12 has a drain pipe 14.
