Abstract

853,892. Rotary sewage distributers. ADAMSHYDRAULICS Ltd. April 6, 1959 [April 11, 1958], No. 11643/58. Class 69 (3). Liquid is fed through a pipe 1 to two sets of distributer arms 13, 14 via a tube 2, and the arrangement is such that below a certain flow rate the liquid passes through apertures 11 and 12 and via open-topped conduits 18 between cylindrical members 5, 6 to the arms 13 only. Above that rate the liquid overflows the conduits 18 and passes to the annular space between the members 5, 6 and above member 16 and flows also through the arms 14. The members 5, 6 rotate with the distributer and are located adjacent stationary cylindrical members 3, 4 closed by a member 15. A liquid seal is provided between members 3, 4, 5, and in operation an air lock is formed between the sealing liquid and the sewage liquid. The arms 13 are of smaller diameter and have smaller jets than the arms 14.
