Abstract
828,410. Fluid-pressure servomotor-control systems. REAVELL & CO. Ltd. June 6, 1958, No. 18251/58. Class 135. A fluid relay of the jet-pipe type consists of a series of jet pipes 10 carried by a rotatable tube 9 forming a common supply conduit and an equal number of pairs of discharge-receiver ports 16, 17 in a housing 8, the corresponding ports of each pair being connected through passages 18, 23 in the housing to one of a pair of common pipelines 21, 25 to afford a single combined regulator output. As shown, the jet pipes 10 are arranged along the tube 9 in aligned pairs, but single pipes may be spaced at equal distances along the tube and at equal angular spacings. Preferably each pair of ports is provided in a separate distributer 26 permitting individual adjustment for location of the ports, each distributer having a flange 27 for bolting to the housing 8.
