Abstract

901,350. Scaffolding. BURTON, J. Nov. 17, 1958 [Nov. 16, 1957], No. 35768/57. Class 20 (2). A bracket, Figs. 1-3, for supporting scaffolding planks 13 and secured by clamps 16, 21 to a scaffold upright 11 comprises tubes 12 supporting the adjacent ends 27 of two scaffold planks at the same level. The tubes 12 are connected by cross-tubes 14, 15 which are connected by a tube 23. The clamp 21 is carried on tubes 20, 28 depending from the tube 15. Diagonal bracing tubes 22 connect the bottom of tubes 20, 28 to the outer ends of tubes 12. A modification comprises angle-members 31, 34, Fig. 6, supporting the ends of the planks and mounted between a plate 28 and a bracing plate. The plate 28 carries clamps 29 and a jaw 30 engaging the scaffold upright 11. Screws 38 clamp the scaffold boards. Specifications 901,346 and 901,347 are referred to.
