Abstract
831,182. Cooling electric motors. BOSCH G.m.b.H., R. July 22, 1958 [July 29, 1957], No. 23422/58. Class 35. In an electric driving unit for kitchen appliances, the driving motor 6 and belt-driven reduction gearing 7 are secured in a casing consisting of two halves 1, 2 spaced by washers 3 under the securing bolts 4 so as to leave a narrow ventilation gap between the two confronting surfaces. The space inside the casing is divided into two parts 16, 17 by a closely fitting shroud-shaped partition 13 which directs the air circulated by fan 18 in at the part 51 of the gap at one end of the casing, through the motor, over the gearing, and out at the part 5 at the other end of the casing. The partition 13 is moulding in two fitting sections and may be of cardboard, synthetic material or like sounddeadening material. Drives may be taken from 9 and 10 which are sealed by rubber rings 11, 12 respectively.
