Dynamos and motors, cooling and ventilating. -The air in the casing of an electric machine is circulated over coolers d by a fan b. the coolers and the fan being mounted in a casing secured to, the casing of the machine. In a modification, the coolers are disposed at right-angles to the line A-B joining the centres of the fan and the. machine. In another arrangement, the fan is replaced by smaller fans b<1> - - b<4>, Fig. 3.
