Class 75(1) In a liquid fuel burner in which an annular vaporizing chamber 1 is defined by an inwardly and upwardly inclined inner wall 2 and by an outer wall 3 and a combustion chamber 10 is located above the inner wall 2 and is defined by an extension 11 of the outer wall 3. The inner and outer walls 2, 3 are each formed with a series of ports 9, 8 for the admission of air under pressure to the vaporizing chamber 1 and the fuel is evenly distributed over the outer surface of the inner wall 2. The outer wall 3 is upwardly and outwardly inclined. Fuel is fed to the centre of the burner through a pipe 5 and a series of annular grooves 7 on the inner wall 2 retard the fuel flow to the reservoir 4. The ports 9 are downwardly inclined and the ports 8 upwardly inclined towards the vaporizing chamber 1. A series of upwardly inclined ports 12 at the base of the extension 11 admit air under pressure to the combustion chamber 10. An overflow pipe 15 communicates with the reservoir 4 below the level of the air ports 8.
