Abstract

821,464. Liquid fuel burners. HAUCK MANUFACTURING CO. Nov. 27, 1956, No. 36259/56. Class 75(1) A liquid fuel burner for use with low pressure air, particularly for oil and for producing a long slender flame as for a rotatable drier or kiln, comprises a nozzle 40 with a concentric fuel distributer head 42 having radial ducts 50 fed from a fuel pipe 46 and feeding into the air atomizing annular outermost passage 44 formed between the nozzle and head and auxiliary air ports 54 passing through the head 42 and hence within the annular passage 44. These ports 54 are located between the ducts 50. The pipe 46 extends coaxially through the nozzle to the centre of the distributer head and the air is fed through an elbow, the nozzle being secured to the forward end thereof. A removable back plate 62 closes the rear wall opposite the nozzle and the pipe 46 extends through this plate.
