Abstract

845,676. Liquid fuel burners. SEBAC NOUVELLE S. A. Oct. 15, 1957 [Nov. 14, 1956], No. 32258/57. Class 75(1). [Also in Group XXIX] An annular chamber 5 of a converging- diverging nozzle 2, 12 is supplied by a pipe 6 with compressed air which flows through an annular slot 10 having a curved lip 11 whereby the airflow draws additional air into the rear of the nozzle together with liquid fuel from the outlet 14 of an injector 15. The air and fuel mixture passes through extensions 3<SP>1</SP> and 30 and is ignited by a sparking plug 33 on a casing 32 which surrounds the perforated end of the extension 30. Valves are provided in the air and fuel supply pipes. The injector 15 comprises a tube 18, Fig. 2, on which is screwed a conical hood 20, and the arrangement is such that fuel passes through the tube and transverse holes 23 and past an annular gap 27 to the outlet 14. The gap is adjusted by the screwed adjustment of the hood which is held in position by a clip 21. Specifications 456,063 and 715,817 are referred to.
