763,079. Radio-frequency coupling arrangements. METROPOLITAN-VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. Nov. 8, 1954 [Dec. 8, 1953], No. 34159/53. Class 40(7) In order to simplify the matching problems involved in coupling the valve oscillator to the work capacitor unit in a dielectric heater a tuning capacitor CT is connected directly between the anode and cathode of the oscillator valve V and the tuning inductance L1 is connected between the capacitor and one of the supply leads to the work unit CW. The supply leads will normally be inductive and their inductance is shown lumped at L2 and L3. For the purpose of equivalent circuit analysis L2 and L3 may be regarded as representing an addition to L1 (Fig. 3, not shown). In this arrangement the load reactance is in series with the tuning inductance and supply lead inductance and will neutralize a part of them.
