Abstract
721,406. Capacitors. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. Sept. 17, 1952 [Oct. 11, 1951], No. 23710/51. Class 37. A capacitor having a of barium titanate is mounted in an evacuated envelope E which also contains a heater 3 and a thermistor 5. The condenser plates are connected to metal collars 8 and 14. Connections to the heater and thermistor are provided by terminals 11 and 14, and 6 and 8 respectively, so that the thermistor may be used to control the heater current to maintain the dielectric at a desired temperature.
