916,219. Dielectric heating. RADYNE Ltd. Nov. 9, 1959 [Aug. 8, 1958], No. 25542/58. Class 39 (3). [Also in Groups XL (b) and XL (c)] The output coupling of a cavity resonator, forming part of a dielectric heating apparatus, comprises a number of electrically parallel conductors 26 each passing through a separate opening in the cavity. They are connected to an oven electrode 36. In order to reduce the voltage developed across the load 40, a large low-voltage electrode 38 is interposed between the load and the electrode 36. In a modification, the output loops 26, Fig. 5, are connected to the variable plates 28 of an output condenser. The stator plates 30 are connected to a wide strip conductor 34 leading to the oven. The inner wall of the cavity is formed as a capacitor having three electrodes 16, 18a, 18b.
