Abstract
751,136. Stands for calculating &c. machines. OLYMPIA WERKE AKT.-GES. [formerly OLYMPIA WERKE WEST GES.]. March 24, 1954 [April 21, 1953], No. 8605/54. Class 52(3). A pedestal for office machines e.g. calculating or accounting machines, comprises a metal tube frame having cranked top members 6, 7 the higher parts of which carry a table 8 and the lower parts of which carry a rotatable machine support which can be clamped in adjusted position. The support, to which the machine may be detachably connected, comprises, as shown, sockets 19 on horizontal plates 17, 18 at the ends of a cross bar 16 which is rotatably mounted on a spindle 14 mounted in a member 13 joining the members 6, 7. The ends of spindle 14 are threaded in opposite senses and take into screwed bushes in the member 13 and bar 16. Spindle 14 has a hand-wheel 15 and upon rotation thereof the support is clamped in position by frictional engagement of plates 17, 18 with plates 11, 12 fixed to members 6, 7.
