Abstract

660,968. Stands. FARDON; R. B. Nov. 21., 1949. [Sept. 30, 1949] No. 25192/49. Class 52 (iii). A copy holder stand for use with typewriters comprises a vertical support 1 mounted on a base 2 which extends under a typewriter. A vertical rod 5 is slidably and rotatably adjustable in a tube 3 which is slidably and rotatably mounted on the support 1. A horizontal rod 10 is horizontally slidable within a boss 7 mounted at the top of the rod 5 and is connected by a universal joint 12 to an arm 11 on which a rest 14 is hingedly mounted. The rest comprises two plates 14, 17 hinged together and held in the same plane by a spring blade (not shown). The base 2 may have a stop ledge to prevent lateral movement of the typewriter.
