Abstract
705,630. Stands. PATTERSON, G. A. Feb. 18, 1953 [March 11, 1952], No. 6295/52. Class 52(3) A stand comprises two triangular frames 1, 4 with legs 5, 6, 7 connected to the corners of the frames, the upper parts of the legs 5, 6 being parallel. Adjustable extension rods 8, 9, 10 are inserted in the upper portions of the three legs. An angle section metal bar 14 extending between and hingedly connected to the extensions 8, 9 is provided with lugs 15, 16 to receive a board, clamped in position by screws 18, 19. A T-shaped support 20 capable of pivotal movement through 180 degrees is mounted on the extension 10. When the board is required to be horizontal the support 20 is placed in its rear position and the upper ends of the three extensions are adjusted to the same horizontal plane. When the board is required in an almost vertical position the support 20 is swung through 180 degrees to its inner position and the extensions are adjusted to their required positions.
