Abstract
612,211. Easels. MAINA, J. May 18, 1946, No. 15095. [Class 52(iii)] An easel comprises a frame A consisting of parallel members D interconnected by top and bottom cross members F<1>, F<2>, a prop B hinged to the top cross member F' and extending beyond same, a stut G hinged to the prop and provided at its end with a slot K adapted to interfit with a groove H in the bottom cross member F<2> to locate the strut and a support C for the drawing &c. board which support is of T- shape with a bottom cross member M and a central upright member N. The member M has pins T adapted to rest in a pair of slots L in the members D and is also provided with a groove within which the drawing board rests and in which it is clamped by means of a screw P. The top of the drawing board is held by a cursor R slidable on the support-member N the drawing board being clamped to the cursor by a screw Q. The support C is adjustable angularly and is held in adjusted position by a pivoted rod V passing through a clearance aperture in the head of a bolt Z which clamps it against the prop B the bolt Z being positioned in the extension of the prop B.
