Abstract
845,868. Centrifugal drying machines. SIMPLEX ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Jan. 15, 1957 [Jan. 21, 1956; June 23, 1956], Nos. 20195/56 and 19519/56. Class 34(2) In order to prevent a centrifugal drying machine moving across the floor during use it ds supported on a combination of wheels and feet. As shown, two rubber feet 16, Figs. 1, 2, are secured to lugs on the body and wheels 21, 21 are mounted at the ends of a beam 22, Fig. 5, which, at its mid-point, supports the body on a rubber bush and is retained by a bolt 29. Rotation of the beam about the bolt is prevented by stationary stops 37, 37 and, if desired, soft rubber inserts 26 may be placed between the ends of the beam and bosses on the body. By this arrangement, the beam is permitted to pivot slightly in a vertical plane to accommodate uneveness in the floor. Preferably, as shown in Fig. 2, the pivot bolt 29 and the centres of the feet 16 are located at the apices of a triangle, the incentre of which lies on the vertical axis of the machine.
