Abstract

743,612. Stop motion. ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS (COLNE), Ltd. Sept. 27, 1954 [Sept. 26, 1953], No. 26534/53. Class 120 (2). In a detector stop motion for textile machines a rod or wire is pivotally mounted in an unstable condition to extend transversely of the machine below a sliver or yarn such that a sliver or yarn falling thereon will overbalance it and cause it in falling to operate an electric switch to stop the machine. As shown, wire A is pivotally mounted on the ends of a trough-shaped frame B and is supported in an unstable condition by an adjustable stop a<SP>2</SP>. When the end of a broken yarn or sliver falls on to the wire A, the drag of the yarn or sliver pivots the wire A and causes it to fall and engage a pivoted arm C to close an electric switch D.
