Abstract

716,971. Stop-motion for drawing frames. FRASER &. SONS, Ltd., D. Aug. 29, 1952 [Sept. 5, 1951; April 19, 1952], Nos. 20936/51 and 9897/52. Class 120(2) A stop mechanism for textile drawing frames incorporating a plurality of pressing rollers includes a member mounted for oscillation on a fixed axis and carrying a plurality of spaced lap-detectors and a limit switch common to the several lapdetectors and controlling the operation nf the frame, said switch being dependent for its actuation on the oscillation of the said member. As shown an oscillatory member 8, mounted on a fixed pivot 9, carries an arm 11, having a lap-detector 10 at its free end, for each pressing roller 1. The member 8 also has an arm 14 projecting rearwardly which engages, directly, the operative member 13 of a limit switch 12 controlling the operation of the frame. There is also a further arm 15 depending from the member 8 and having an adjustable screw 16 at its free end. The end of the screw 16 is in close proximity to the fibre conductor 7 so that any choking of the conductor 7 oscillates the member 8 and operates the limit switch 12.
