691,220. Hasp fastenings. GREENMAN, C. (Greenman, H. D.). Nov. 15, 1951 [Jan. 19, 1951], No. 1490/51. Class 44 A hasp fastening comprises a part 16 having two upwardly extending ears 21 between which is pivoted by means of trunnions 62 a hasp lever 60 which has a cam edge 65 at the end of its shorter arm adapted to make contact in the closed position with a flange 33 which projects from the other part 25 of the fastening and extends between the ears 21. The hasp lever 60 has an opening 71 in the lower part 70, and bifurcated upturned ends 73 ; when closed a turn-button 47 extends through the opening 71 and can be turned down to secure the hasp and secured to an upturned tongue 35 on the part 25 by a wire and seal.
