Abstract

688.031. Scaffolding. ACROW (ENGINEERS), Ltd. March 16, 1951 [Dec. 16, 1949], No. 29352/49. Class 20(ii) A cross-bar 1 for connecting together spaced scaffolding uprights has welded at each end a short tubular sleeve 2 with grub screws 3 for securing an upright and a side-entry type clamping bracket 14 for securing a ledger member. The bracket 14 comprises two slotted parallel plates 4 joined by a bottom portion 5 and slidably engaging between the plates is a block 6 carrying a screw 7 screwing in a tapped hole in the portion 5. Stops may be provided on the uprights to locate the sleeves 2.
