Abstract
463,858. Clamps for wall centring. VIGIER, W. DE. Nov. 9, 1936, No. 30482. [Class 20 (ii)] A shuttering clamp comprises uprights 2, which carry the shuttering 1, a right- and left-hand spacing screw 4, which passes loosely through the uprights and is provided with nuts 5 which grip the uprights by means of extensions 6, Fig. 3, to prevent rotation of the nuts as the screw is rotated, and an upper right- and lefthanded clamping screw 8, which coacts with double-nut portions 9 on each side so that rotation of the screw causes the upper ends of the uprights to move outwardly or inwardly for clamping and release respectively. The nuts 9 on each side of the uprights may be connected by a saddle 10 which prevents their rotation relative to the uprights, the nuts on each side being sufficiently far apart to allow free movement of the uprights between them.
