Abstract
662,078. Discharge apparatus. RAD'O CORPORATION OF AMERICA. April 20, 1949 [Aug. 31, 1948], No. 10484/49. Class 39 (i). An electron cyclotron operating as a generator of high D.C. voltages is combined with a magnetron oscillator whose output provides the high frequency voltages across the dees. The magnetron anodes 12, 14 are integral with two of the D-shaped cyclotron accelerating anodes 22, 23, and 24, 25. These anodes 22, 23 and 24, 25 are disposed within a cylindrical collecting electrode 26. The magnetron and cyclotron systems have a common cathode 10, and a common magnetic field N, S.
