Abstract
845,495. High-frequency discharge apparatus. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS Inc. Sept. 15, 1958, No. 29545/58. Class 39(1). In a strophotron electron oscillator tube in which electrons are projected from a cathode 34 in the direction of a constant magnetic field into an inter action space between accelerator electrodes 14, 16 and reflector electrodes 18, 20 to follow oscillatory paths while drifting sideways to a collector 30, the collector is a plate lying in the plane of symmetry extending through the accelerator electrodes equidistantly between the reflector electrodes. As shown the accelerator and reflector electrodes are hyperbolic. The load 38 is connected between the reflector electrodes 18, 20. Specifications 838,804, 838,805 and 838,806 are referred to.
