Abstract
655,496. Shuttering for floors and ceilings; trusses. BERGQUIST, B. I., and BERGQUIST, S. E. June 25, 1948, Nos. 17216, 17217 and 17218. Convention dates, June 28, 1947, April 15, 1948, and May 5, 1948. [Class 20(ii)] Shuttering for floors and ceiling: is supported by trusses formed of two overlapping members 1a, 1b connected by bolts to allow adjustment of length of the truss each member being formed of two angle-section longitudinal members 17, 18 joined by stays 13, 14 and the upper surfaces of the members being in the same horizontal plane. The trusses are supported on uprights 3 held by a member 4 against the wall 7, and by stays 5 and end boards 2. Centering at a bay window laterally of the trusses is supported on extension beams 21 carried in sockets welded to two trusses. Channel members may be welded to the end of the upper members 17 of the trusses to carry extension beams into wall recesses longitudinally of the truss and the ends of the members may have a length of L-sector welded to them to form square sector ends. Each shuttering panel carries cross bars 27, 28, Fig. 11, locating it on the trusses so that each end of a panel is on the longitudinal centre line of a truss and to provide space for two truss members where they overlap. The shutter panels may be strengthened by sheet metal tape and may be of sheet metal with an uneven surface.
